Some companies save money by putting the temp sensor under the bunk with the heater. Time it gets it that warm you’ll cook.
-
hmmm...
if that is true then why not reposition that sensor to sleeper area ?
there are 2-3 controllers that have internal air temperature sensor. One of them is Digimax D1000 -
Because truck engineers don't think and truck builders don't pay attention.
We had a brand new trailer come in with abs issues - the light was on but no codes. Turns out they wired it to the marker lights.kylefitzy, D.Tibbitt, 86scotty and 1 other person Thank this. -
i bought an 8 gallon spun aluminum tank off eBay for $110. It’ll run for a week before I gotta refil.
Also…, at the end of your season running it, put it on full blast and run a gallon of kerosene thru it. I’ve had mine for 6 years now, previous one went 8Vampire Thanks this. -
Why do you need a separate tank?86scotty, Siinman, Hammer166 and 1 other person Thank this.

Yeah, unless you were running the heater on kerosene or jetA all the time, it's just something else to worry about.Siinman Thanks this.

No, that's way to rich. I've never had one do that, and I've had 5 in different trucks, both espar and wabasto. That is not set up correctly or has an issue of some sort. Keep an extra little fuel filter with you, I actually carry a spare fuel pump. Every couple years, do a tune up kit, igniter, screen, filter. They last a long time.
