Hi
I just bought a 2012 vnl 780 and haven’t found a workshop manual yet.
But does anyone know what this connector is for?
It is a 2 wire connector that comes out of the I shifter next to the seat and it is disconnected and bypassed with a paperclip.
Not sure what it controls and I don’t want to just plug it in because I’m not sure it there was a problem with it or what. The connector runs under the seat with the main shifter wiring
Anyway thanks

Something to lock out the transmission if there’s nobody in the seat?southbaydad Thanks this. -
That is the seatbelt warning chime.

Thanks -
If you've never had the chime sound or light on the dash for seatbelt, then that's what it is. The other end of the plug that fits into it should route up to the seatbelt.
southbaydad and shogun Thank this. -

Leave paper clip used to keep seatbelt chime from buzzing cover it with electrical tape

For those people who are interest to warning bell for the seat belt, there is an ajustable parameter in the MID 140 (Cluster) who can be turn ON or OFF.
Since many years that parameter is always ON from factory but it is not lock, then can be adjust to OFF with PTT (Premium Tech Tool Volvo)
If you adjust to OFF the Seat Belt telltale light in the cluster continue to work but the seat belt buzzer don't.
That parameter can be consider a security situation but it's your own decision because the parameter is not lock from factory in the system.
Hope this can help.
BenQUALITYTRUCK Thanks this.
