Hey, what was your $2 solution? I currently have the same problem in a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia my company assigned to me.

How does one know that the trailer brakes will hold?

I bought a rubber cork at Home Depot you can get one at a hardware store to....I than took a drill bit slightly smaller than the temp stud that pokes out of the bottom of the driver's mirror....I just put the rubber cork in a little bit of water n heat up in microwave for a short time n take it n push it on the temperature sending stud below mirror....this rises the temp to above 70 degrees n presto...motor idles until you shut motor off....you repeat as needed for idling each time....so like my truck was set to shut off anything from like 35 degrees to 69... somewhere in there....doing this your just tricking the computer n it thinks it's hot so it will idle even after cork cools off....my truck was a KW....I now drive for a company that has APUs n they don't have that 5 minute shutdown either, also I went from dry van to reefer
