Could anyone give me som information on Caledonia Haulers? Mainly looking for year end pay, I'm hearing that $100-$110k is reachable. I'm trying to make a switch to tanker from LTL and they seem to be a great company

If you're on Facebook, there's " tanker tankers" and (if Caledonia is food grade) "food grade mafia".

To be honest, it's food grade! You will be busy but the pay isn't all that great AT ALL! If you want to switch to tanker, go to chemical. It pays more and treated better. I came from chemical tanker and went to LTL. I'm NOT leaving LTL as it has paid the most I've EVER made in trucking.

I agree with you that LTL pays amazing. I made $120k the last 3 years but the terminal I work out of is a nightmare with my terminal manager and operations managers being completely incompetent at their jobs. I know I will take a pay cut to do something other than LTL and I'm OK with it. Any chemical tanker recommendations? I'm in SC

My friend did the opposite. 8 years LTL then made the switch to hazmat tanker .

I was in LTL for a good amount of years. I was #5 out of 6. 5 bids 1 extra. Was waiting for 1&2 to retire in the next 3 years but I couldn't hang on long enough. They shuffled bids and cut a bunch of miles. I would of been stuck with a 386 mile turn with 2 hours of sit time build in it for FREE. I'm not working the dock.

So I switched to fuel. I enjoy it a lot more that just sitting in the seat driving. I got a call today from r&l, they are about to open a new terminal but I just don't miss LTL
