Congratulations and welcome. We use T/A's and Petro's. We have select ones throughout the country that we fill up at, the rest have a 50 gallon limit. We also have comdata cards that we use when off network. It works just fine. I've used my off network card about a half dozen times. Usually when I run across ND, MT and SD as there aren't any of our regular stops across that way. When you use the comdata card you can fuel at any T/S you want to. Our regular fuel stops work out fine for the way we run. Going home to Florida is the same stops every week. Pittston terminal fill up, Kenly NC fill up, Kingsland Ga top off. Then home. We can fill up at the T/A south of Jacksonville, but I don't, it has been a dive for 30 years and still is. We can also fill up in Vero Beach. We have a maximum of 175 gallons per day. This includes reefer fuel when pulling a reefer.

Thanks a bunch. On a side note I don't think it's 175 gallons as I have pulled 200 several times.

I'm pretty sure it's .36 pm. If you have less than 2 years or have done job hopping then it's .34.

Well if there was any doubt about me getting a new truck it was put to rest yesterday. I pulled up to the shop at 7am and put it in the bay at 7:15. They had the truck hooked up to Volvo link all day trying to find out why my AC wasn't working. Everything with the system was in perfect working order, except it wouldn't blow cold air. All day in the shop and at 4 o'clock I was told my truck wouldn't be going anywhere. Jason came down and told me I could wait until Monday or take a loaner truck. I told him I would take a loaner because I wasn' t spending another weekend not rolling. And especially in wonderful Pittston. I went in to safety and blew my stack. God love Mort that's all I have to say. He knew what I've been going thru so he let me vent, and vent I did. When I was finished he gave me a list of trucks to choose from. My biggest concern is a working fridge to take care of this 200 dollars of home cooked food my wife prepared for me. I found a non-smoking truck with a working fridge then went in to tell mort. As soon as I walked in the door I apologized tohim for raising my voice and he said under the circumstances he fully understood. Then he told me as soon as I got back from the coast I'll have a new one. I asked him if I could take the new one sitting in the back but I was told it needed to have plates put on it and get registered. I told him I would write a cardboard tag that read tag applied for and I probably would make it to Ca and back. Anyway, I spent the most part of last night switching all my stuff into this truck I was assigned to.

Then before locking my old truck up I made sure I left it clean, I mean spotless. I got to the Petro and put the whole truck together, it now looks like I've been in it forever, or if you will, it's as clean and spotless like my house. I don't have an APU on this truck so I'll be idleing to sleep. Oh well, at least I'm set up for the ride out west. Lucky me though, I get to move again when I get back. Time to go to Walmart then go pick up my trailer that's been ready since yesterday afternoon.

I think that says alot for calex that they work with you to make things better, god knows you been through alot the last couple of weeks, and you bring alot to the company as a driver so you earned the right to vent a little, but like i said when the company works with you when you have bad luck it makes it a little easier to deal with.

I agree, i hate to switch trucks and deal with someones mess. Guys say to me whats the big deal but i keep my truck spotless and have it set up a certain way i like, so lets just say i hate to switch trucks!!!!! It's amazing how much we think alike. Are we related Ha Ha Ha

I been at this otr thing for about 6 years and always try to stop and listen to guys like you and learn how to handle things in the right way. So just wanted to give you 2 thumbs up on that and have a safe trip out west.
