Well C.O.P. Gary always used that phrase. Change of plan. We had a driver quit under a load so my Vegas load turned into a trailer rescue with a load going to Lubbock TX for Monday. Louie called me this morning to ask me if I could do this and of course I said yes. This actually works out better. This round will be 3600 miles in 6 days and will all be on one check. The only thing bad about this was I had to bobtail 120 miles in the pouring rain. I'm about over this rain. It's been like this since I left the house on Tuesday.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Lubbock actually sounds like a pretty cool run. Something other than the normal routine. I guess you could call that C.O.P. "Change of Pace" as well! I'd be willing to go there if needed. Thing is. What kind re-load do they get out of Texas?

Last time I was there the backhaul was a/c units out of San Antonio to a warehouse in Jersey, of course that was back in May.
Voyager1968 and The Challenger Thank this. -
John you sound like me about the rain, I've never seen so much rain in my life before moving up here to PennsyRAINya. Florida rain is usually so much different than this northeast rain, down there you're lucky to get it for an hour, 2 weeks ago I saw it for 5 days straight here!!!!!!!!!!!

Getting ready to leave Effingham. Finally, beautifull sunshine. First thing I did while fueling was to make sure my wipers were still attached to my truck. They haven't stopped since I left the house Tuesday!
Let me tell you about my little excitement I had yesterday. Like I said earlier I had to bobtail 120 miles in the pouring rain to go get this trailer. As I was getting into the construction zone at Mifflinville where they are putting in the new bridge across the river traffic came to a stop. As I was coming to a stop in the one lane a Werner truck wasn't paying attention coming up behind me, in fact he was going way to fast. I had to speed up and jump in the left lane knocking over a few barrels in the process. The rocket scientist holding the steering wheel in the Werner truck realized what was in front of him and swerved to the right and went between the backside of the guard rail and the tree line. How he managed to not jacknife and really screw up my day is beyond me. Trust me, it wasn't because of his driving skills, it as more like luck. In the pouring rain me and some other drivers got out and ran over to make sure he was alright. When we got to his truck he was stepping out, I asked him if he was ok and he said yes then I asked him just exactly was he doing not to see all the construction signs, slowed traffic and everything else going on. His answer, I was on the phone and reaching down for something. I just about went out of my mind. I told him to take pictures of the mess he caused and to be sure to tell the Hiway Patrol what you were doing at that moment. I took his truck number got in my truck and left. I'm trying to decide if I should call his safety dept at Werner or just let it go. Meanwhile I had to change my shoes and shirt because I got drenched in the rain, and my underwear for obvious reasons. -
I'd turn in his ### that's stupid but they probably wouldn't Belive u

Glad to hear the only calamity for you, John, was your wet clothing. It could have been a whole lot worse. After hearing his story, I'd be inclined to drop the dime on him myself.
