It was. I drive that section of 40 everyday. Could have stopped at Ludlow, Kelbaker Rd, Essex Rd, Goffs Rd, Mountain Springs Rd or Water Rd.
Heck, you even admitted you saw the sign "Emergency Parking Only".
Be a man, step up to plate and own up.

I completely understand......The only ticket I ever got in a CMV was for an "unsecured load" in Florence AZ 2008 (city DOT cop). They threw the book at me even though it was a "random inspection." I knew I was in the wrong and would have just paid the civil fine but they charged me criminally. I hired an attorney and went to court. The attorney got it reduced to a civil fine which is what it should have been in the first place. After court I had no doubt that the judge, prosecutor and attorney were all drinking buddies. Since then I have never gone through that one-horse town. I purposely find a way around it if I'm in the area. I'm sure you're bitter and I completely understand why. There are certain "law-enforcement agencies" that have no compassion and lack complete common sense. I don't trust any of them because. The right thing for him to do would have been to maybe give you a warning and send you on your way but.........that state is broke and truck drivers are and always will be easy targets.blairandgretchen Thanks this.

What you should of done....
Once the officer came up to your door, you should off put on your highly shined toni lama's boots..Once he started his nit picking B/S and became a jerk off,you shoula cranked up some ''all my rowdy friends''...
Once cranked up you should of stepped out on to the fuel tank with those toni lama's and your cowbot hat on...At that moment you should off leaped off the fuel tank and snatch that ticket book and start beating him with it..
After you were done kicking his ###,you should of took the ticket book and wrote him a ticket for being,
THE BIGGEST ####### IN CALIFORNIA...

That's funny. I'll have to find that song.
It did occur to me that a paranoid armed trucker with PTSD would probably have drawn at the sound of the bang on the truck, and unloaded a clip at the flashlight - insert your own frontpage headline here . . . -
Yes, thanks for attacking my manhood. I've fully owned up. If you read the entire post, you'll find I was seeking a good strategy going forward, not a retrospective whine and cry.
Nobody really likes the truth, but I always try to relish in my own little screw ups. Keeps me honest, you see. -
No it isn't. Attending school will not mask the citation from your CMVR. Insurance companies and employers can still see the offense when they pull your record, although no point will be added. Basically though, you're giving the county you live in anywhere from 40-70 dollars in traffic school fees and getting little to nothing in return...

its only a ticket.....not the end of the world, live and learn move on

Hubby got a ticket in CA before. I remember writing them a letter with explanation... Well he had to pay the fine but the point was dropped.

In my experience I have never been able to negotiate anything with CA, but having a NV CDL I have been able to just pay a couple tickets over the years (basic speed 62 and their truck version of following too close requiring us to maintain 300 feet at all times except on limited access 4 lane highways) and never had them appear on any record. BUT, any documentation that captured the DOT# shows up on CSA, even when "No violations discovered" was marked and a notation made below saying "3rd lane violation - verbal warning". I'd rather a ticket than CSA points in my experience with tickets not showing up and there is currently no method to dispute CSA.
Also, for OP...
392.2PK
Unlawfully parking and/or leaving
vehicle in the roadway
Other Driver
Violations 1
Meaning that the severity points is 1 for CSA, but it still goes on your PSP report for 3 years and against the carrier.
