Paranoid are we? I've been driving near 30 years, If you do your job and leave your phone and other electronic alone while driving (which I suspect is the real reason most don't want the cameras), you'll be fine, personally!!! I wish ALL companies would put these cameras in the trucks, Far to many wannabe drivers think their immune to disaster

Don't need data to watch something stored on the phone bub. I.E. a video I took of my kids at Christmas that's in my album.

 

Paranoid, no. Just opposed to the big brother nature of driver facing cams.

Now the big question is did you sue them for all the false statements they made?

 

If you yawn 30 seconds before an accident some lawyer will use that against you somehow.. driving while under rested etc and put you somehow at fault.
If you're crewing gum while driver some lawyer will call that distracted driving.....
Catch my drift..
Maybe it's not we're all on cell phones 24/7 but rather want to protect our careers from a system that's always out against the evil bad truck drivers.
If you fart while driving rest assured some lawyer will try to burn you with it all thanks to driver cam.

Plus you can't even have a private conversation in your sleeper without the risk of somebody listening in.. even while off duty. That's a fact.

 

I figure along about the time a driver gets put away 15 to life for lighting a cigarette 32 seconds before a 4wheeler jumps in front of his truck will be about the time truck drivers will wake up and say, No Cam In My Truck
