So i always see people complaing about people lying to there faces, doing this or that to them, or they tell me this or that on the phone then when u confront them they deny the whole thing, me personally i cant stand that, so what i am doing to avoid any problems like that is, when i am at a terminal or a shipper or anyplace out of the truck wear a shirt cam that they can see and watch how things go different, also i have an app on my phone that records all in and out going calls automatically. So when someone bold face lies or asks me to do something u safe or crazy should they ever i got it recorded. When business call me first thing i say is this call is being recoreded. If companys in this world think its ok to record us i feel its ok to record them.

Yeah, but you gotta say each time, that call will be monitored or recorded for quality purposes

Be careful with that. Some states are two party states and it is illegal to record them without their knowledge.

Question on that. If your in a 1 party knowledge state and they are in a 2, or vice versa, are you good without their knowledge?

Not to mention, most places I have worked have a company policy forbidding the use of cameras on company property.

Yeah be careful with that u can get into major trouble. I too record my phones calls because I tend to "forget" or if I don't have a pen around I let my recorder do it for me.

Video is a different stories, maybe just a handheld recorder instead?

I never use my recorder app in any legal defends or to prove something. Mainly because I never got into that problem. I do exactly what they said and if I had to change something i let them know

You will be on the customers private property and in doing so you are agreeing to follow their rules. Most places have signs that say no cameras no cell phones etc. You can record in public with no problem and no consent is needed but private property you cant.

It is a sad state when truck drivers feel they have to record co-workers to try to keep them honest.

It's been that way since I started in 99. Before cameras and smart phones and such, truckstops sold voice recorders. One was even called "Dispatch buster" lol
