yeah I feel you, you just like what you’re used to. I got offered a newer truck with an auto but I just don’t really like it that much. Too different.

A little thought for some of you when the cars deliberately get aggravating as a herd.

ALWAYS have a speed SLOWER than the car or cars. You have all day to get though this problem. They will clear themselves out of there soon enough without the need to resort to other tactics and workarounds.

Some four wheelers need that impression that they are interdicting you and delaying you for the win. However when they see that you have all day to be somewhere maybe... and NOT in a hurry it really screws em up mentally. They want out. And usually resolve the road clog in the traffic flow.

A dash cam is your friend in a situation like this. If you had a dash cam, it would have showed that vehicle passing you as you slowed when passing the patrol car. You could have used that to show the officer was “mistaken” when he said there was no vehicle to your left.

    Buy a dash cam today.

Because he is in compliance with the law in virtually if not all states and yet he got a ticket for it, I should believe him?

I have seen this countless times, somebody posts a spurious claim, gets beat up and then disappears. But I have also seen where the OP has been misunderstood, beat up and then comes back to explain why nobody understood correctly and defends his or herself and all the posters say their mea culpas.

I have never received a ticket for something I didn't do. This guy claimed that he was well below the speed limit and got a ticket for something that was legal. I do not believe people when they say that happened.

I once got a ticket for making a left turn on red. It was from a one way to a one way. When I went to court the officer argued the law book was wrong, only right on red is allowed. The judge just shook his head and told me that I could go.

It happens. The OP said the officer stated there was no car beside him. It’s going to be his word, versus the officer’s word. The officer may have genuinely not seen the other car.

Yes it does happen. But combine describing a situation that is compliant and a disappearing act...

As I said before take it with a grain of salt. Like I also said the OP might be too busy doing other things at the moment to offer a rebuttal. Whether he does or not is up to him. I can relate to the OP as I’ve had people hang out in my blind spots while trying to merge into lanes especially near construction zones where there are lane reductions (those are the worst) and if necessary, have had to get on the air horn to make those people “wake up” and GTFO of my blind spots!

You got me, but starmac is not my pen name. I quit using it because I was having to spend all my time giving out online autographs. lol

I actually still drive some, come on up and see if you can find someone that will let you ride with them, and you could make a trip your self. It a[[[ears like I will have to start again sometime next week. lol
