The car in the left lane matched your slow down speed? Mph for mph? I’m beginning to suspect that the driver of that car was doing that deliberately. I doubt if he was rubbernecking, it’d be kinda hard to see what was going on in the right shoulder with a semi in the right lane going as slow as the car while blocking the view. I think that car was actually trying to keep you from moving over.
Just my opinion. Good luck with your case, you’ve got a good one that you’ll probably beat

Yup. And his lawyer should too. If there was a car pacing his truck in the left lane, the combination of the front and rear car cams will show it.

There are people who do that on purpose just on the general grounds that they don’t like trucks getting in front of them. They think it’s a game-a dangerous one!

You always got time to back out of it if you are paying attention.

Everyday left lane is clear & some don't slow down & move over. They need a zero policy on this & speeding in construction zones. It would weed out a Lot of the steering wheel holders.

The problem is that always doesn’t always work. In response they’ll slow down to match your speed as well-even if you get on the jake.
For some reason some of these people have this thing about hanging out in a truck’s blind spot!

Just because you have experience doesn’t mean you’re not going to come across that one driver who isn’t going to give you a hard time merging to move over, even if you’re paying attention to traffic flow!;)

Where I live we’ve had issues with people who do that on purpose just to commit insurance fraud so they think can get a “payday” from the trucking companies’ insurance. Thankfully the state attorney general’s office is cracking down on such stunts!
