So i obviously live in Louisville ky.
I've been in Daytona Florida since say dec 30th of last year.
When I get back should I have my company elog location switched to show away from my home domicile?
but the real question is can I claim the per diem if I left the truck in Louisville for next years tax return?
Taking winter off with my banked days and vacation....be jelly ...it was sunny and 71 today
What y'all do when u go on vaca like this?
can I claim these days?

Seriously ... you're asking?
No you can't.
If you left your truck in Louisville and you went to Florida, you are not working for the company so you are on your own dime.
What do I do when I go on vacation?
Enjoy it. -
You can try doing anything but if youre audited you will pay some healthy fines.
Per diem is a right off for expenses when traveling for work, not for vacations. -
yeah, kinda iffy . . . how much do you fear the IRS?
If your financial cahones are large - go for it!, stick it to em! -
Because after all they require a logbook for per diem proof of a commercial driver, AS long as your away from home for work you can claim it, Kind of hard to provide proof if your on vacation.

When I take my time off, it goes as days not working.
Now when I had my corp/ going, I could write off the plane tickets and one meal for having my board meeting. Yes notes were taken and recorded to keep things legal.
But your on holiday not working. -
...."banked days?" What are those exactly?
