Yeah it's an old company. I've lived close to their original terminal since the eighties, and it's been there since at least the early seventies
They only run dry van, though, and most of the local drivers are relatives and friends of relatives. Dennis Dellinger the CEO has already sent out a video basically saying it's going to happen.
I'll be headed back to fuel tanker.. Too much risk in van and reefer.. It wasn't this bad before covid

I almost started my trucking career here. I was accepted but they couldn’t find a non-smoker trainer. That was a no go for me. The school I went to said how good they were. That was back in 2013.
I went with my #2 choice, Magnum. I as glad I did. Great trainer. Really set me up to be successful in this endeavor…Speed_Drums, 88 Alpha and JohnBoy Thank this. -
Just an update: They have about 40 trucks prepped for auction just at the Claremont terminal alone, and they are complaining about OTR drivers using optimized idle too much in 100f temps.. Layover is getting bad in July for some reason...

Look up cargo transporters safety score. They have a score like no other! 2 percent out of service & over 500 inspections! The company average is 22 percent out of service! I dare you to find a better safety score. The safety score speaks for itself & they know how to run a company & are doing it right! Prove me wrong!

Why would I want to get hired where I currently work?
P.S. when I go back to the terminal in 20 hours there won't be a new wrecked tractor by at least two other wrecked tractors by the shop(inside joke)Last edited: Jul 21, 2024

Within the last two weeks every driver was dropped .60 and .67 to pre-covid low-fifties rates except for local drivers.. Oh, and 401k "canceled"..
I was clearly wrong about the company downgrading towards closure... lol
If you want Walmart level policies for .50 a mile then by all means..
Also in pure irony: The company wide app letter cited accidents as a big factor.. Turns out they were hiring one year drivers the last year or two and they saturated their own contracts and spot dispatch and screwed senior drivers out of work..Last edited: Nov 19, 2024
