The problem with class B is it won’t give you experience that counts as class A. However it will count for commercial driving experience and allow you to build a solid work history. Put in a year at a class B company and you could probably get a job much more easily with class A. Hazmat is something that requires 3 steps on your part, and probably more from the company side. You need to get fingerprinted at a TSA office, costs about $120. Fingerprints usually take about a month to come back, so sooner is better! Then you need to take the DMV class, which I believe can be done online, should be another $100. Then you go to the DMV and take the endorsement test, which should be about $15. Some companies will pay for all of that, but it would be best if you had it already when applying. It’s possible the company would reimburse you afterwards. A lot of class B jobs are starting at $25 an hour or even more. Finding $20 an hour should be easy. You’re probably going to get over time with that also. Class B is the fastest route to money for a brand new driver.

Do you have endorsements? Maybe I missed that part.
