Brokers, they got you a perfect load!
Or the dude that calls wanting to know where you’re at and what’s eta.
Or the one trying to out perform you and wanting to know how many loads you’ve done and how much have you grossed so far.

Although, he’s never dispatched himself, so you need to get him loads.
Then you get a small sentence in like, “For that we’re looking like 70/30 split.”
Then off on another rant.
Why so much? It’ll be my truck and trailer, and the 10% is pure profit for you and you know I’ll get out there and run, and make some money, and it’ll be no risk at your end, yada yada… until you say, “I’ve got another call, I gotta take this.”dwells40, Another Canadian driver, mustang190 and 1 other person Thank this. -
“Hey, look at me and what a big shot I am. I get phone calls all day long.”dwells40, Coover, Another Canadian driver and 3 others Thank this. -
Effeminates.
These are the guys who need 24/7 handholding. If they are married, the wife has to stay by the phone and he tells her everything. These are the guys who will be sitting on the throne in the truckstop restroom telling their wives how many kids he’s dropped off at the pool. This is the guy in the restaurant with the headset on telling her how many drivers are in the restaurant and what they are eating. This is the guy who comes up to conversation with you and his wife is on the phone monitoring the conversation. “Hey Joe, where you going with that gun in your hand…yes dear, Joe has a gun. Umm Joe, my better half doesn’t like you and says that I can’t talk to you.”
These are the guys who’s wives have no interest in having sex with, so they either go without or get a little something for a birthday or anniversary. Hey, if she has to hold your effeminate hand 24/7, do you really think she wants to be feminine when you get home?
These are the guys that they put driver managers in place so that the dispatchers (the planners) can actually dispatch instead of coddling grown males. Effeminates are effeminate not because of being prissy, but because they are indecisive. They need someone else to make decisions. -
Just gonna beat the dead horse and also question who people are on the phone with all day that they can’t even go inside and use the bathroom without hanging up. I call the ole lady a few times a week and it’s usually after I’m done driving for the day. I know everyone has different relationships, but I find it hard to believe that the spouse at home genuinely wants to hear about how Wendy’s screwed up your Dave’s Double order while you’re on the porcelain throne.
Side note that @TripleSix brought up, quit calling and small talking and complaining with your DM 24/7. I keep seeing people talking about how they ‘got into it with their DM’. I don’t understand how, since any phone calls with my DM are usually 45 seconds long. I’m tired of getting an irritated ‘Yeah?’ when I call to tell them something they might actually be concerned about once in a blue moon (breakdown, load issue, etc.). They don’t know anymore about overnight parking, truck stops nearby, what the rattling sound in your bunk is, what kind of wreck there is up ahead causing traffic than you do, and they definitely don’t want to hear about how you don’t like I-40 and you don’t want the load they sent.Another Canadian driver, kylefitzy, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -

I wish my dispatcher would call me instead of sending texts. I can keep my eyes on the road and talk hands free while driving. I can’t do either while reading a text!

Airgas camera AI reads your body gestures and starts filming if it thinks you are grabbing the phone. Or if you're looking down more than a few seconds, like adjusting the radio. Bing! You're on film...
