CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Probably been used, just not pre-tripped correctly or pre-tripped but ignored the tag expiration and needed repairs. Put it on the next driver/hand. Seen stuff like that done way to many times.

 

The thing though is that when a driver picks up a trailer at cfi with a trailer out of date it flags dispatch and locks the trailer from going on a load until it's done.... It took half the month for the flag which is crazy

 

Yeah, that is crazy. You'd think it would be set up to let them know a month in advance, that's the way freymiller has theirs setup. So they can get it done on the road or routes to the terminal.

 

Some rest area just east of North Platte Nebraska . Heading to Rockford. Didn't expect such a good trip out of the Denver area. Delivers Monday a.m. roughly 2400 miles on a week that started on wednesday. Highlight tomorrow to get home on Monday the 2nd. I've had enough of I 80 in winter...its time to fly south .

It's safe to say he didn't miss any periods!!!

 

Didn’t work Monday last week, sitting at home Tuesday morning and the Mrs says to tell work that as long as I’m home for thanksgiving that I can go out of town. Well of course my dispatcher jumped on that faster than a pile of cash, so here I sit in a hotel doing a 34. I can’t wait for tomorrow morning to get here so I can start moving again. But hey, they paid for the hotel and are paying me for doing my reset here, so I guess I can’t whine too loudly.

I can say with certainty that I don’t miss this life. I’ll be glad to get back to my normal routine after the holiday. (At least I hope that’s what’s going to happen)
