issue with automatic only is that when your truck breaks down and you need to drive another, will another automatic be available?

 

we goin to school on the 22 or 23rd and first date for school is the 27th woohoo cant wait to get this done and over and get out on our own

 

they want u on thurs so fri u can fill out paperwork then get a room set up at the college and be ready for Monday first day

 

So a question for those of you just starting with CFI. The recruiter I'm assigned to sent quite a greatly in depth email (which I loved! most companies barely want to communicate by email it seems) but it did list this: " Obtain your Class A permit in your state. You will need to test for your permit wherever you renew your driver license (DMV, DPS, DOR etc.) You may pick up a book to study there or you can download a CDL handbook for your state online-there are also great practice resources online. In most states your permit will consist of 3 parts: General Knowledge, Air Brakes, and Combination Vehicles." To my knowledge, CFI trains in MO and you have to get your CDL Permit in MO. Is that still correct? I'm in AL if that may matter. My current job has me working hours that don't line up with recruiting hours at CFI.

You have to start school with your permit from your state in your hand. When you finish school in Missouri, you will take the exam and get a Missouri cdl using the school as your address.

Eventually you will need hazmat. Whenever you go home, transfer your cdl to your state, and take the hazmat at the same time.

Yes when u call CFI they say to save time yes get the three done then physical and then when your ready call them back to go to school . Yes once u graduate from school u get your CDL but they give u the proper paperwork to switch back to your state once u done training quick list for what im working with to take with to school
1. CDL Permit Gen Knowledge Air Brakes Combination
2. DOT Physical cheap one at chiropractor
3. Birth Certificate
4. SS card
5. Married and Kids need all their info for the insurance
6. Money bout 150 bucks or so while in school
7. Atlas for reading and trip planning
8. 7 to 10 days of clothes separate bag for your dirty landury
9. soap shampoo toothpaste toothbrush like 2 towels 2 washcloths
10. flip flops for showers and a pair of tennis shoes and one pair boots that's just me
11. phone charger and laptop and laptop charger

Thanks for that hollywood I just informed my recruiter Cortney Im gonna start in Jan and i was told by VA for those maybe interested that the bill was passed but VA doesn't have it set up to do DOT physicals something about they don't have the equipment which doesn't make any sense but they gonna see if the choice program will work which is clinic outside the VA that VA would pay for now this coming from my physician in Meridian MS

 

Yep I got that same email mine was in june so it doesnt have the updated pay scale on it
