CFI doesn't have inward facing cameras and the outward facing ones don't record unless you have an event.

I spoke with a CFI husband and wife team the other day at my local friendly Pilot and they were happy as clams. Having a great time on the road. Didnt mention any cameras though.

I’d love to work for a company that bugged the cab of my truck with cameras. Every time I parked for my 10 hour break, and was no longer on duty, I’d give them something to watch.

I am currently at CFI, at the 6 months mark. While I wont say the company is a paradise, and will admit that the pay is decidely on the lower end of the spectrum, my experience could not be more different than the OP.s
Regarding safety, in my first 2 months after upgrading to my own truck, I had to be towed. Once because I tried to make a uturn on a two lane road after ignoring a road closed sign and once at a shipper because I backed up too far and the tandems went over the edge of the concrete snd dropped 6 inches onto gravel. In addition I had two minor, low speed accidents at truck stops (Both while backing and both my fault,) Despite this I am still with the company, and while I am on probation, I feel as if I was treated fairly all things considered.
Yes I was put into an older truck, a 2015 KW, and yes there are 2 cameras, one road facing, and one driver facing. The driver facing camera however is not turned on, and I know this because I've reviewd the camera footage with safety. When you do a review, there are two boxes, one for the road facing camera, and another for the driver facing camera, which is blank.
I am by no means a supertrucker, I've made mistakes which have cost the company money, and which I was at fault for; however I cant complain about the way the company has treated me.
The CPM on the other hand I can, and do.

I worked for CFI awhile back.

I made more money back in the early 80’s than I did driving for CFI just a little while ago. I lasted a year, telling myself “things will eventually get better”..... they didn’t, so I finally quit.

I can’t believe that anyone would willfully continue to work for this company.
