Both do LTL, Moyes purchased Central Freight Lines out of TX.
Matty Maroun owned Central Transport (yellow trucks) till he died. I think his son runs it now. Also owned the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Canada.
Having spent time at both CFCC and CF close to the times they were purchased/closed respectively, I feel for those guys at Central. Central used to be a good company I don’t know how they were recentlydrvrtech77, LtlAnonymous and pumpkinishere Thank this. -
As far as I know the CFL terminal in San Antonio also was a Swift hub and became a Swift drivertraining school also after the buyout 20 years ago. It was around that time that I noticed the fleet started to become second hand swift equipment.
Anyone familiar with this area would know that this is were all the “driver in training” swift trucks come from that are all over the streets on the east side of the city.LTL Bull and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
