CHAINING...are you ready?

From a friend of mine from CalTrans, it is snowing on Donner and chain law is going up soon. Several spin outs and a few trucks have gotten stuck. Be careful running the Sierra Nevada tonight.

 

I just converted to singles -- does anyone recommend a place to buy chains? T/A wanted $169 for a pair...

 

Chains are now required from Nyack to Truckee.

Snowing on Snoqualmie, no chain law yet, but that is subject to change as conditions worsen

 

i saw them at Pilot for, I think $104-115? Could be wrong.

 

I have one single chain. Picked it up off the ground last winter while walking my dog. I threw it in the side box for some reason, it was like an out of body experience. I have duals so no need for super single chains, but for some reason fate was telling me to pick it up, now I know why. I live in Stockton and you are my neighbor up in Sac. I was carrying this chain for you lol. Today's low low price of free.

 

spider bungees work great for securing loose chains or broken links. they also help keep your chains tight.

Guess we just squeaked by Donner last night... Saw CalTrans taking a break/setting up in a vista parking area as we drove by... Spent a few hours for my 30 minute break in Orland... Now heading to Portland... But maybe we delayed enough so there won't be much of the white stuff
