We've missed most of the monsoon so far this year. I think there is something to do with the way our little valley is nestled in between N/S ridges that kind of diverts the rain.

Been dealing with more smoke this year (entire west coast) and sitting here at my second home (T/A Aurora, OR listening to the morning news...67 days without measurable rainfall....as the rain gently rolls down the windshield....1st night without the engine running to keep cool in a few months...SO NICE!

Now this has nothing to do with chaining, but we had one heck of a wind storm around the area last night Lots of damage, some flooding in some areas. Here are a few pictures:

Some friends camped on Argentine Pass Friday night and Saturday night, 3" of snow Friday night, light dusting on Sat. night. Above 10,000 ft.
