They already have it. It's a "edge" plan I went and bought a galaxy s5 when it came out and the way it worked out I am saving a penny on my monthly bill with the phone bill and phone all on one. And when you do this edge plan you're buying yourself out of the contract. That means you can leave whenever.... however you'll have to pay the phone off in full then. Good deal imo.

Verizon needs better data size for the price, man I can kill 5-8gb a month easy!

I'm sure if i didn't limit myself, I could easily do twice that no problem.

Indeed. I recently got on with Sprint because my AT&T bill was killing me. Unlimited talk, text, and data which is great but so far Sprints service is marginally better than when I left a few years ago. Not very satisfied so far.

Also Sprint or any other carrier for that matter offers no unlimited data option for an individual hotspot or using the phones hotspot. Only option is to root my phone which im not overly thrilled about but I gotta be able to use my laptop.

I'm still in a Verizon contact. Dropped calls and spotty service. On top of that way over priced data. I should have just stayed with the no contact, unlimited everything.

time to check your monthly plans. folks.

verizon has upped their data for the same price. i'm now getting 18 gigs for for the price of 10. it's $20 more. but the line access fee dropped for $40 to $20. so my monthly plan is still the same price.

sprint on the other hand. dropped the unlimited everything price from $80 to $60. and AREN'T charging a line access fee. but they might be charging for the mobile hotspot data. my phone is root so i don't know about that portion of their fee.

Well, I believe they actually raised the line charge from $15 to $20 and then lowered the price on the data side as they were so much higher than everyone else. Now their data is "cheaper" but everyone that wants the better data packages will then pay $5 more per line for line access. The $40 price you quote above is comparing the current plan to the contract rates but there was a "more everything" plan in place between those two options.

Just upgraded my 4S to a 6S Plus and the monthly rate is $15/line since my wife was still on that plan. Of course we are paying a bit more fore our data plans. Pros and Cons.

Looking for good options for data now that I am over the road... Verizon data plans are still too high... But they do have a good foot print...
