Yep. You and the rest of us.
As a positive note on my side...I'm going to see if I can resume doing things the way I used to. If I can, then I've nothing to complain about.

LOL, yesterday, I'm trying to play by the rules. Log it as I do it. So, I drive into this place to drop trailer, go on duty not driving, drop trailer, posttrip, 5min. take off, am running behind, Auto switches to driving and wipes out the drop. So, I dropped with no line 4. Oh well it's their system. Can't edit drive time.
PoleCrusher Thanks this. -
But then they will be sure to call you about it and blame you somehow.Vilhiem, PoleCrusher, FullMetalJacket and 1 other person Thank this.

Hat's off to you guys who suffer through this. I can see the agenda, when the Elog mandate drops and we go 100% live across the industry, can you imagine an owner op who has been running paper for 20 years having to register drive or on duty time from the minute the wheels start turning? They will quit by the millions which is exactly what the megas want.
Pork Chop Express Thanks this. -
Frustrating part is how true that is.Vilhiem, FatDaddy, FullMetalJacket and 1 other person Thank this.

Well, my ICR is pretty good. She can bring up that days log and the different points on the drive line. That 5min segment will show where I was. You can check it too. On the graph tab. All that drive time is broken up with ping points and shows your location.FatDaddy Thanks this.

I might have figured out how to beat the system, more to follow after I try tomorrow morning

Here's how I think about it- QC has a "trigger point", a 4 minute "buffer zone" and a "threshold" of 5 minutes.
<<<<<ROLLING TRIGGER>>>>>
This trigger point can be ANY movement without 5 mins of non movement. Once this trigger point is established it will count as driving minutes whenever the vehicle rolls beyond a radius of approximately 0.7 miles.
<<<<<MANUAL TRIGGER>>>>>
The rolling trigger point can be superseded by manually creating a new trigger point by changing your status to driving before it does it automatically at 0.7 miles of movement.
With a manual trigger point you have created a 4 minute buffer zone that can be changed if needed. If a change occurs in the 4 minute buffer, the trigger point must also be manually reset again after the 5 minute threshold has been met. The rolling trigger will always go back to any movement without 5 mins of non movement.
The manual step can be repeated if necessary.Little Eddy, Home_on_wheels, scottied67 and 1 other person Thank this. -
First thing in the morning...you can roll up to the pumps at Fontana, hit on duty, fuel and do ur PTI. Roll up to gate, exit, cross over and get coffee; all on duty 15 min pre-trip time. Key is to manually select drive when you head off and make sure you don't leave ur tractor running while on duty.
And yes, if ur slow and patient, u can drive from the Corning Petro or Loves to Rolling Hills on surface streets without clicking over to drive. Go slow and be willing to shut down for 10 minutes during the passage.
Same as it was before with the manual switch to drive line keeping us one step ahead of the po-po.Scream'n Hauler Thanks this.
