Hmm...I remember reaching the gates of sni and logging on duty since I only had 1 min left on my 14. While doing a post trip and grabbing my stuff to leave my manager call n said I violated the 14 rule. As I recall I can pass 14 legally I just can't drive am I right? I had enough on my 70 so I wasn't breaking sni policy. Plus how am I suppose to do a post trip in 30 sec?
I like sni cause they don't micromanage that much but recently I been seeing some stuff I don't like....and if this is another one...I might been looking for a new job soon

FedEx is in a big lawsuit over the same thing. Treating their ICs like employees.Vilhiem Thanks this.

I never got a message about this. And last night I drove not quite a mile from my fuel stop to a drop yard and didn't get switched to on duty or driving.

Yeah... I'm thinking either this hasn't kicked in yet or is a hoax of some sort?
I just asked my dbl, she's under the impression that it already kicked in.
If it's 125 feet where it kicks you to on duty or driving (she said it'll start your clock.) then it's safe to assume that it'll kick you after 125 feet of driving after having logged another status...
She said it'll show on her end, but different on the QC. (Rather, that was a guess.). That makes no sense... It'd mean your clock wouldn't show correctly and your logs wouldn't agree on the QC.
That being said... I requested my week's logs just to see what it looked like. (Thanks for the tip!). There's no grey block on my pretrip from this morning. (I drove about 200 ft to the guard shack and then switched to on duty.) and then did something else...
It shows an edit took place on the requested logs, so that much is true. But it isn't specially marked aside from that.
This is puzzling me... -
They track everything to micromanage us to protect them.
If they would just comply with DOT and not track every move we make then in discovery phase there'd be less to turn over to plaintiff lawyer.PoleCrusher, Home_on_wheels and Vilhiem Thank this. -
Paper trails are hard to follow when you don't use as much paper.........

I think the only way to escape such aspects is to run your own show as an O/O and not lease onto anybody.
No matter who you lease onto they all have their own "rules".Vilhiem Thanks this. -
Even SNI claimed during my orientation that o/o ran however they wanted. The exception being they do have to use a QC.
...even then I was thinking that was a bunch of store brand Bologna. -
Well we do "run" how we want as long as we say NO to charity empty trailer shuttles lol.Vilhiem Thanks this.
-
I thought they started paying you guys to move empties around?
Obviously not enough to make it worth the cost, but just enough to offset it.
...also. You're funny!
An empty Schneider trailer... That's like seeing a swift driver that can back!
