I have not noticed any cigarette lighter chargers in cab. How do I charge my cell phone in cab while I am OTR?

My Mack Pinnacle has 3 on the dash and 3 in the sleeper....the last 579 Pete I drove has 2 or 3 on the dash and 4 in the sleeper (newer 579's have 5 in the sleeper)

A 300 watt inverter with a set of fans and a metal insulated body that goes into a cig lighter will be more than adequate to charge a cell at 120 volts or run a small laptop at most.
Our last OTR truck had a pair of cig lighters one under a flap by the radio and the other was in the left corner of the sleeper controls under a flap.
If your company has removed that as part of the tractor, buy a add on cig lighter find the fusebox mains A and B and fuse to it wire it right in and you are in business. -
Use solar panels.

If your truck has one of those CB open wire connectors, you can buy something like this for a 12v plug in adapter.....

What kind of truck is it? Someone can help you find the plug.

My Volvo has one up and two down, and two on the sleeper. Rare to see a shortage of plugs in a truck. And as someone said, the USB port in most.

Saw a new Freightliner today. Some moron designed two lighter plugs right in front of controls you use. Seems those idiots don't understand wires run UP to the dash. Unless you route them around you will be dodging them. Isn't there one retired trucker they can consult on ergonomics?
Bean Jr. Thanks this.
