Who needs a GPS tracked system. If you have a cell phone that doesn't have it's battery pulled then you are traceable. And you don't have to pull in a POE like WY has, many scales now have license plate readers, so cross an open scale and you're tracked, even in the bypass lane

They would need a subpoena to gain access to your phone to track your movement. But yes, they can legally plug into your onboard computer to see your mileage.

 

Well sir if that were true every cattle pot in the country would be sittin in back of scale house with wires plugged into the ecm .

 

Whats a cattle pot? Not saying they do it all the time. Just saying they can do it. What are the odds it will happen to you? Slim to none. I've been driving two years and I've never even had an inspection n

Was going to get a level 1 at the scale house as you go into Montana on I-90. The most unfriendly, skinniest bear you've ever seen is all ready to have my ### for breakfast. He played with the stop-go light, and that's how he was pulling people in. Anyway, he has my log book, and BAM, rear end collision right on the scale.
"Ooops," says I.
He used the Lord's name in vain, hit me in the chest with my log book, and told me to get the F out.
" Yes sir." says I.
That week ended up being a 4200 mile week.

By the way, last 12 months = 1 level 1, 3 level 2, all passed. CSA score = 0

It won't matter in a year every truck is going to have a black box and DOT will begin using snipers for log enforcement...or Lazer guided bombs so remember if you go 1 millionth of a second over your hours you will be nuked back to the stone age or catch a .50BMG with your head.
