Some warnings are exactly that, nothing. Texas does them. Doesn’t show up anywhere. I’ve had 2 and they went into the garbage. Maybe that’s what he got. A DOT inspection with warning is different and those do show up for 3 years. I got 1 once in Kingman AZ.

Well I appreciate you saying that.
I'm only training him on paperwork. Otherwise hes a driver like me. He already went through his 6-week thing with an older guy.
All I'm there for is to say sign here, initial there, write the reefer temps here. -
A friend of mine once got stopped by a new officer in our home town who told her he would ticket her for going the wrong way down a one way road. She tried to explain to him it was only one way on week days during school (it ran by the school). Hours around school time that is; like 7:30am-3:30pm I think it is. He told her he didn't need her attitude. I tried to speak a time or two & finely he told me not to get an attitude, so I explained I wasn't getting one I only wanted him to walk to the end of the road by where we were & read the sign. I told him if he was afraid we would drive off when he walked over there we would walk with him. He gave me an odd look but agreed to walk over there with me & he saw she wasn't lying. He apologized for the inconvenience & I told him I was sure it wasn't easy being a new cop in a town he didn't know. Bottom line: truck drivers make mistakes, so do cops. We're all human.

Driver’s CSA score is actually called PSP points. I have 2 items that accumulated points. Both are coming up on 3 years and then they go away. Both my PSP items came from roadside inspections. Not warnings I got. I believe your friend is likely in the clear. No DOT inspection and no inspection report means no PSP points.
Use search on this topic. It took me a while to learn it.Lepton1, Bean Jr., LoSt_AgAiN and 1 other person Thank this. -
Happened on Old Pineville Rd. We turned left off that road on to a smaller road which crossed over the rails that run parallel to it. Then after we finished with the cop we just drove straight, turned right and hopped on the interstate. No big deal. Didnt run anything over. It was a commercial road.

Not even that. A PSP report is just that, a report. While some carriers assign the same points as their CSA score, by default there is no score anywhere on the PSP report. Here is an example...

I would be VERY careful about "signs" when it comes to traffic rules. There are 2 exceptions most people don't understand. First one is a statewide speed limit law when the speed limit is not marked. By this I mean you can be out on a county road and there are no signs. However, the state law is a general 35MPH limit. The next one is the maximum limit is based on good conditions. You can be cited for exceeding a safe speed even IF you are going under the limit posted. In this case, the officer might be harassing you. I once had a NY state trooper to stop me and advise against going any further because the road was not truck friendly. Another issue could be a sign with several things on it. I can remember seeing large signs with a rather small left turn arrow with that lash through it with trucks over it. Just keep these things in mind.

I apologize...I read ticket. My eyes like to play tricks on me at times. Even they get bored I guess.
In that case ignore my previous post and advice.
I mean you could still do something about it, but eh..whatever. Some other dude will get a ticket an the police coffers will get fatter. Maybe that guy will do something about it. We shall see.
There is great BBQ in that area. Won't change your ticket or warning, but hey...you won't be hungry!

Sirscrapntruckalot - In the BBQ areas, your choice of sauce could get you shot. They don't play.SavageMuffin, Numb and austinmike Thank this. -
It depends on the state and in particular the county your're in. Where I live in California, county roads are 25 mph if unmarked. I know this because the last ticket I got 12 years ago was for doing 40 in a 25 on a county road. It was several miles from nowhere on a long flat stretch of road, and I just happened to pass a CHP. He explained that it was 25 if unmarked. I was sick to my stomach for the high value ticket.austinmike Thanks this.
