..... or the latest and greatest, GeoCache. Saw some guys fueling last night on the 224 in Ohio, hiking looking for trinkets. Raised them on the radio, (I didn't pull in) and that's exactly what they told me they were doing...GeoCaching. I had to look it up when I got home today. Geez.

Some people are only fit for minimum wage jobs. A GPS is a tool. Let the village idiot drive a truck and here we are. There is so much more to this job than the pencil pushers will ever understand.

My Garmin constantly wants me to tear through a fence, cross a deep drainage ditch, traverse a hundred feet expensive state ROW grass and shrubbery, and proceed directly to the interstate on ramp 500 feet away, near the truck stop :biggrin_25523:

Maybe it wants you to play GeoCache, LoLoL.. I've got the DEZL as well, ONLY as a back up measure.... no time to play out here.... no NEED to.

ps: I've heard that from MANY people. Just what you said. Sheesh.

And sometimes it will proceed to direct you 15 miles to the next turnaround exit, in order to get you headed in the right direction.

A Chicago woman was killed after her husband followed their car’s GPS navigation off a partially demolished bridge that has been closed since 2009, according to reports.
Driver follows GPS off demolished bridge, killing wife, police say

A GPS is a great tool but the reliance on technology to the point of being brain dead is baffling. It doesn't seem to matter what they're driving or the age of the driver. Big trucks make bigger news and I'd expect more from a 'professional' but all I can do is SMH.
