There is a system out there that is being marketed to trucking companies that can be turned on anytime from the dispatch office. Even the 3 minute cameras have 3.5 mg memory cards in them that can be downloaded to see the whole day

Rusty Trawler Thanks this. -
Have you not seen American Pie and Speed? Those cameras were live action feeds to the whole internet.
X-Country, Rusty Trawler and jtaran06 Thank this. -
That's really creepy when you think about it, companies need more trust in there drivers.

Company I quit said that I had a towel over the camera that never records.

PS while I was in sleeper mode.

Thank You TruckinMotherTrucker! How is it an insult. If I'm doing my job and not doing something I shouldn't I could care less if a camera faces me. These camera's exonerate a driver more than they implicate one. They make a driver better just by reinforcing the do's and don'ts. They are not invasive. They are only triggered by an event such as hard braking or swerving. Don't believe the bull@#$# that a few spew about the camera being on at all times. They are not!

I guess all the testimonies throughout the profession and this site alone are all liars? If you want a tearless retina to "exonerate" you then fine but people should have a choice in the matter. Plenty of people don't agree with you and they have a right to opt out.foggy Thanks this.
