i obtained my CDL through them 6 weeks ago and was placed with an unstable trainer after a month of waiting. i lasted a week and requested a new trainer. now its been nearly 2 weeks since.
at this point i'm considering moving on to a different job. why should i trust my next trainer will be any more tolerable? i guess since i already had to deal with a psycho, i'll have a way better chance of my next (and hopefully final) trainer is cool enough.
what's holding me back is owing for tuition (i dont care that much) and it looking bad to prospective employers that i ditched the company that trained me and tested me for my CDL.
whatcha think?
@Chinatown - it seems you're a legend of sorts, so would definitely appreciate your input if you have the time. i'm willing to move anywhere honestly, but am currently in the middle of the country.
thanks everyone!

Read the contract closely. There's probably a non-compete clause that may or may not be satisfied by paying off the tuition early. Regardless, unless you pay that tuition back in full, don't count on another company touching you before that non-compete expires, which could be anywhere from one to two years. If they did, your current company could sue them. Assuming you even find someone willing to overlook it, imagine what kind of operation it would have to be to risk a lawsuit just to hire a guy with no experience

You couldn’t deal with only one psycho for 2-3 weeks…?
There’s a bunch of us…. Them out here.
austinmike and PacoTaco Thank this. -

In short--you've pre-judged all the other trainers there--just because the first one was bad.
What if.....your next trainer there....is in fact.....a very good one?
If you bail now.....you miss out on that....plus you incur all the potential problems described above.
Stay the course--stay put.
BE PATIENT!!!!!!!

Call the company you're currently with and ask about a new trainer. Tell, whoever, that you need a paycheck and can't hold on much longer.
Ghosts Of The Road, tscottme and MSWS Thank this. -
Long as i’m not the one their talking down too, and if I screw up bad, I usually tell myself I knew better then that.
You should’ve given encouragement like when they were mouthing g their family say, “I hear that!” or “You go girl!”
Maybe i’m just different.
Or half crazy..? -
How much is the tuition you would owe if you bailed out now?
