    Awwwww come on guys!

First - congrats for quitting this POS company, good move.

Second - Prime can't afford chains? Yeah right.

Third - Did you read where his ####### dispatcher told him he needed to lease a truck ? ("I'm a big owner operator now")

And if they're hiring drivers that would sell chains and diesel , then they're either hiring the wrong people or paying them nothing. In the case of PRIME, both.

Good luck with your new job - do some research this time.

That is when people spend a dollar on something they can do without to save 25 cents in taxes.

Actually..it is when a driver purchases something that is necessary for them to do their job.

Thanks blairandgretchen, somebody who gets it, The truth is starting to sink in to some of the drivers out there, and by the way if there's such a tax write off then why isn't the company taking it!!!! HMMMMMM!!!! makes you wonder don,t it!!! oh ya because there buying them straight out of China for pennies without paying the tariff and there's no money to be made on the write-off. I can go on forever!!!

    blairandgretchen Thanks this.

not knowing if you need chains out west is not new.

if you've never been out there, how would know?? east coast doesn't require them.

when I first went out there, I didn't know. found out and used company card to buy some.

buy them myself,??? heck no !!!! not as a company driver.

I don't buy the tires either!

This is a difficult concept for some to grasp. All a tax write off foes is reduce your adjusted gross income to allow a refund on tax that has been overpaid - ie, you get back about 25% on whatever you spent. Thanks, freightliner Bob.
