Conceal Carry?

I know a cop in a neighboring state, one of the most hated for it's gun laws and where you will never get a permit. Even can take weeks to months to purchase a handgun. This guy is one of those who thinks only the cops should have guns, no one else. He also has his own authority and works regionally. His cop job is four on four off. So he runs his butt off in the truck the other four. Carries everywhere in the northeast because he can. Even if not legal, he's a cop and his 'brothers' will respect that. And hours of service, yeah, he follows those rules too... sure. Too bad truckers will never stick together like the blue-bloods do.

And FYI ... his state does not allow cops from other states to enter with firearms without prior written permission. They cannot pursue across state lines armed or they risk arrest. Yeah, now that's real gun control right there, arrest a cop for having a gun!

If you want to argue the point state a fact. The fact is every state that has CCW allows any business or private property owner to override the CCW. The public does not support CCW permits as they continue to allow individuals override the issued permit. Even the government overrides their own CCW permit by excluding all government owned property from the permit. I live in open carry Missouri yet some businesses will ask you to leave and if you refuse they can have you legally arrested. No the public does not support CCW. If they did I could carry anywhere and not be punished for using my weapon on a property that disallows the CCW.

To say you know cops that are dangerous with a gun shows pure ignorance of the issue. I know trained instructors that shot themselves too. Most every suspect killed had a choice but not every officer gets to choose who they contact. People like you insist they are perfect, highly trained and qualified to never make a mistake at less than $18 an hour average. Here in my home town the Chief only made $18 an hour. Little to no training and no one to back him up when crap hit the fan.

Finally the President stood up for cops and retirees with a CCW stating their right to carry should and will be allowed nationwide. It was a start in the right direction for all CCW permits to get the same treatment. Many states had no minimum requirements and gave anyone a CCW regardless of prior convictions or mental status. Therefore, they could get a CCW and travel anywhere even if they were not stable or trained with the weapon. For these states that refused to clear those with a CCW reciprocity was not granted nationwide. This is not to be confused with a citizens right to own firearms at home for the defense against tyranny and intruders. A CCW is specifically to allow one to conceal the fact they are armed. This does need to be regulated IMHO.

Enjoy life, try not to be so offended by cops. Most actually want to be the best they can in protecting you and your family. Own any gun you want. If you do I suggest to everyone practice at least weekly and stay proficient so if you need to use it you will be able to do so to the same high caliber you are holding cops to.

There’s the Desert Eagle in .50 AE, the .500 S&W revolver, and not far behind are wheelguns in .454 Casull and .480 Ruger.

P608, I am a retired cop that almost lost my wife to cancer. Now we are broke in Missouri where at 58 I can maybe make $20k a year locally. Driving a truck makes it possible to make as much as $75k without putting me in a grave too quick. Not that I need to justify why, but if you did not know I could not criticize you. BTW because of her cancer and my Navy injuries we pay $1300 a month for her plus all the Out of Pockets that total almost $23k a year. how many pensions do you know of that can support those medical bills? I cannot afford my insurance so I am stuck with the VA and their refusal to see me. The truck job gets me insurance for both of us at less than half the cost and we also get a few thousand to spend enjoying life when I am home. The other option was baby sitting at Walmart for $20k, work schedules all week keeping me local and no benefits.

I can hold a steering wheel with the best of them. Just give me a chance. If for no other reason because I served.

There are many states that if you are pulled over by a LEO you are required to tell them that you have a handgun on you or in the passenger compartment of your vehicle. Like you said above, find out the different rules for different states. As a CCP holder it is your responsibility to know the concealed carry laws in any state you travel through.

That's true but if I happen to be in a place like NJ I'd tell em I'm sorry for being white, I vote strictly Democrat except for Christie and I'm a card carrying Socialist. And on top of that I'd ask when the next policeman's ball was and can I buy some tickets.

And even more I would lie, lie,LIE like a dirty dog if asked if I did anything that could somehow be used against me.

Just like all jobs not all cops are good. My best man was a cop and he's the that told me that the best policy these days it to keep your trap shut.
