I was waiting on someone to throw that one out. Most likely the best money coming out of Fl.
All joking aside you are not far off on that. Meds places normally pay good and are very light loads. Not sure if they have any in FL but I would look for them.
Consistent loads out of Florida?

Every time I go to FL, like 3-4 times a year, I know I'd dead head to GA at least. Waste of time waiting for something out of there. But, if you live there, plenty of time to find something to start a trip.

I ran flatbed based out of central Florida under my own authority from 2014 - 2018. I routinely would DH to Savannah to find decent paying freight. Once in a while youll get lucky and find something in Florida outbound for a decent rate but nothing sustainable. As far a dry van and reefer are concerned its cyclical. Last month there were decent loads out of Florida for reefer and dry van because of watermelons. Once that freight was moved rates dropped. You can follow produce around the state with a reefer trailer but like I mentioned there will be periods of there year where rates are going to be less than $2 outbound.
The good news is that you should be able to negotiate higher rates coming home and that will drive up your average RPM for the trip out.Siinman Thanks this. -
