Swift! Come to the dark side, we have cookies!
Earnestly, I think Swift a much better option than CRE. I started at Swift, intending to get my first year or two there, and I'm still here.

People don't realize some/many drivers have been with Swift for 10 - 20 years.

If I had to choose one of those two it’d be swift. But honestly Crete or Schneider have better training.

I work for J Rayl, company is in Akron, Ohio, but they have a number of terminals (I drive out of Texas). There’s one in North Liberty, Indiana (just west of South Bend). They just started a CDL Apprenticeship program that might be an option for you.

That's a new one to me. Didn't know JRayL had that.
Website doesn't show if meals/lodging are provided.

    I don’t know either, it’s a pretty new program.

When I started 11 years ago my choices were Swift, CRE and CRST.

I chose Swift and have been happy here ever since.

Those look like they’d be an absolute nightmare. I live smallish city in Missouri and there’s a few Family Dollar stores (whatever they’re called) right in the rundown ghetto part of town. Every now and then I’ll drive past a store that’s unloading freight and; Good lawd talk about a complete “throw every box around” clusterF of a mess. Those are it. Plus weird angled docks. Or no dock at all. Just some janky looking backdoor to an alley with a parking lot so tight , that a VW Bug would have trouble navigating. Lol

I’d still choose Swift from those options.
