I haven't heard anything further from the company about it. I simply paid my fine - which I was truly guilty of the crime and it wasn't a major violation - and expected to be in bad-boy class, but it never happened.

I think I would have gotten out my digital camera(if it has the video camera setting) and tape all the cars passing in the right lane without moving, and kept it rolling when 'Barney Fife' returned to present you with your award, and make sure he knew that you were taping for evidence of discrimination for the trial. In fact after reading this, I am seriously thinking about buying a cheapie laptop and get a big harddrive, and a web-cam and have it ready for traffic monitoring, even without law enforcement presents. It would help if I ever got one of those 4-wheeler complaints from an irate driver saying I did something I didn't. I have heard that some of the LA scales have chased down drivers with Prepass, and ticketed them for passing the scale - even with a green light...after that is when I started pricing dash cams to tape my pass through - but they are way too expensive... a laptop/web cam setup would do just as good at a fraction of the price. He should have had a dash-cam that shows you jaking down and going by as far left as possible..unless he has authorization to delete. I don't regularly advocate giving any law enforcement any kind of attitude, but it's guys like this that only inspire negative attitudes from his customers(victims). Had it been me, I probably would have been wearing the bracelets and being escorted to see the judge.

Speaking of Prepass - anyone going thru FL lately been getting the green on the Ag-stations? This use to be a separate application/approval...but earlier this week I went through them 3 times, and got the green all 3.

First, ET, I'm sorry you encountered an officer who cleary does not have the concept, "spirit of the law" down yet. I would hope that you will be able to reach a successful outcome through the judicial process. If an actual trial date is needed, perhaps a series of pictures taken from the officer's perspective on the side of the road would indicate that it would be impossible for him to see if a small vehicle was to your left which made it impossible for you to move over.

SS. Not to rain on your parade. A tape showing everyone else doing the same thing isn't helpful. The officer only needs to provide proof (in this case his testimony) that ET didn't move over. It is no different than when a car gets pulled over for speeding and while he is waiting for his ticket, every other car speeds by. Hopefully, ET's explanation and a couple of good photographs of cars hidden from view behind a semi will work.

Well after reading this post (and some of the others on different companies) Crete sounds pretty good. Pulled up their website and instant messanger a rep to find out if either of the schools I am looking at near me will be accepted by them. I was told neither of them were (roadmaster or community college) up to their standard so even when they were hiring we wouldn't be considered. She said they didn't have a published list of the schools either. So it doesn't look like we will ever get to find out if it would be a good fit. Alittle disappointed.:biggrin_2553:

They require the school to be certified by the Professional Truck Drivers Institute (PTDI). There aren't any of those schools in Florida. I had to travel out of state for school. It was well worth it to me. I will be finished with school in a few weeks. I'm surprised the recruiter didn't offer more information about other schools. Altough I think there is a hiring freeze in Florida due to lack of freight.

SECOND worst terminal management team in the company. WORST is Cheyenne. One of (if not THE) best if Council Bluffs. I pity the poor that get's on Ruth's (Cheyenne) board.

That's strange because in 4 years yours is first negative thing I have read about Cheyenne and the first positive thing I have heard about Council Bluffs.

Just curious about everyones miles this month. This has been my best month by far since last summer. Since leaving the house 3 1/2 weeks ago I have averaged 3186 miles per week and the average miles per load has been 1034. I kinda figure this is just one of those freak months but I was hoping that everyones miles are picking up. This week won't be so good however, I'm sitting on a 2 1/2 day 400 mile run that delivers monday afternoon and lots of luck on getting a load on Memorial Day. Oh well, its been a good run and all good things usually come to an end. Happy Memorial Day to all and remember those that have sacraficed to keep this country free.
