Back in the day when we would haul out of Expeditors in Seattle/Tacoma, I used to make a few extra $$ shagging empty Shaffer trailers from their place in Kent down to the brewery in Olympia. Expeditors wouldn't load them (too heavy), and there'd usually be one or two just sitting in their empty lot.

It's a crapshoot. Me personally, I'd rather get an empty reefer trailer and go from there, instead of spending eternity waiting for an empty dry van. Sometimes it works out in your favor, other times it doesn't.

8 hours at Post in Jonesboro? Why not bobtail to the droplot in Memphis?

It seems that we have lost Campbells Soup as a customer, at least in Paris, Tx. I delivered to KC and was told by dispatch to bobtail over to Campbells and pick up an empty and bring it back to KC and then get my loaded trailer from KC. I asked him why I just couldn't pick up my load and go and he told me that all our trailers needed to be off Campbells property asap. He wouldn't go into anymore detail.

Is that still a US/Arnold Xpress run yard? It use to be when I worked for them, but I haven't been on a Campbell's yard - at least in Paris - for years.

Most of those loads are extremlly heavy, and with the weight issue of the new trucks, we probably can't legally haul them any more. Fine by me!

What is the weight difference between the Prostars and the other Crete trucks?
