I tried to use my mount and antenna, but ended up having better luck just using the factory antenna. I think you have to run a ground strap to use your mirror bracket, not really sure though

My new mental system (aka ignorance is bliss) only lasted a few days. They send me a pplan that takes over 14 hrs and I have 12.5 over the next two days. I tell them I don't have the hours and they cancel the pplan. I sit waiting for another I.75 hours and then they resend the same pplan and start sounding really desperate.. Now the situation has worsened and the appointment times are that much more impossible.
it has 3 extra stops and I won't even be able to make the first one until the next day. I tell them all this of course. My 'genius' AM doesn't pass anything along to night dispatch, so they ask me all the exact same questions delaying me further. They kept sending "safe and legal" over the qualcom like a mantra even though I told them again and again that it could not be done safely nor legally at all.
The kicker is that I guarantee they never bothered to change the appointment times, so I will be dealing with outraged customers all day. Two of the stops don't have directions in the system so.maybe are new customers. What kind of image does this give Crete when the dispatch is this incredibly incompetent? I thought people were joking when they said it was a bunch of young college kids in Lincoln now. But I realize it is true. My AM literally acts like some kind of sorority sister bimbo. -
Anyone know anything about the Love's at exit 50 on I-45 in Houston? Initial google street view analysis says it's planted firmly in the ghetto. Is it a bad place or is it okay?
-
It's an interesting part of town. I've stayed there many times when I used to frequent Houston. Typical inner city wheel polishers and snake oil salesmen but I've never seen anything eyebrow raising there. It's got a big lot and it rarely fills all the way up.

The crete yard is just south of there at Wilmer. Also, there is a Walmart not too far.
-
Oh it's pretty far, and it's not south, it's north by quite a long shot. Houston, not Dallas, remember...

Anyway it's a moot point now. I just sat in Home Depot's drop lot to wait for a load... -
Aaaaaaand my gut feeling about the Ottawa terminal was just confirmed, it's closing. I won't miss the terminal but I will miss Kay and Heather. Crap.
Oh well, I've been to Indy more than any other terminal anyway, it might as well have been my home terminal the whole time, now I suppose it is my home terminal. -
Doomed loads are so much fun. Picked up a multi-stopper ultimately going to Maryland Heights, MO. Or should I say, accepted it. Said it was supposed to be ready at midnight and pick up no later than 1300. I got the PP at 1330 and came here. First stop is Memphis tomorrow at 1000. I'm in Houston, still waiting for them to finish the load. I have until 2315 to drive today. Memphis is a good 9.5+ hours out.
Noooope, not gonna happen. -
I hate that feeling.
-
wow. Great to hear. Just talked to Kay for first time this week. I have met Donna, though, in Indy. She seems very accessible.
