Yes, if I went to Schneider, I would still have many of the same hassles that I had at Crete.
So today I requested an application from upsfreight.
Almost all terminal to terminal drop/hook.
So I could eliminate the wasted time sitting at docks.
And maybe I can run more at night like I like to.

Hey, SuperSnackBar! If your Glad Hand Seals continue to give you problems just flip them around back words. Put the fat side in. They'll be a little harder to get in but they'll go. You'll like how they work a lot better and they won't leak. There are other things you can do but that works best. Baby powder on the rubber sometimes helps or good ole vasoline can sometimes do it. I just flip them around and forget about having to mess with them again. Hope that helps and good luck with all your Dot stuff. :)

I actually use to use KY lube...but questions from my boss ensued(my real boss, not my company boss)...so I stopped. The good thing about KY over Vasoline...it is water soluble so it attracts less road grime. And its actually been the trailer seals I've been replacing. My trucks are the good ones instead of the cheapie ones the company supplies. I have noticed a lot of our new trailers are already having the corrosion issues on the glad hands that cause the real metal part to separate from the cast part and make it extra tight to put it on

I picked up a new toy today. Black & Decker 36v cordless leaf blower for sweeping out the trlrs. Looks like it's gonna do just fine! Now those scrap paper loads won't be so bad:biggrin_255:

How? As an O/O with Schneider you dispatch yourself. (load board) That's a huge thing right there. Seems most of the issues people have with Crete are dealing with dispatch.

How big of an inverter do you need to charge it? I have thought about the 18v ones but wasn't sure it would charge on the inverters we're allowed

I have a Craftsman 19.2V with the trickle charger and I can charge the batteries with my 400/800 little Cobra inverter that plugs into the cigarette lighter. I recommend a two battery set up for the harder trailer blow outs. Mine works really well. I also buy the little paint masks from Walmart to cover my nose and mouth. Stuff blows up but with that you can knock it out in no time with no issues to what you are breathing. Hope that info. helps. Take care out there.

the charger draws something like 1.5 amps at 120v should be 180 watts, I think I have that right

EDIT: Yeppers the Cobra 400 watt inverter charges it

I used to have a cheap gas powered blower untill the motor crapped out, #### e85 gas screwed it up. But worked great for blowing out trailers

I may have to buy one of those one of these days.

Well, the doctor says I'm as healthy as a horse's....uhhhh....never mind. Passed ok, but my BMI is right on the line for having to study how to sleep. I guess all the comfort food I've been eating trying to deal with the endless barrage of problems has me heavier than before my grand weight loss before the last physical. I guess the ''I just don't care" attitude took it's toll. Oh well...
