Schuyler NE, meat load probably. Always happened to me. Or get stuck with WalMart regional load.

More than once (though not with my current AM....she's been terrific) used the old sales tactic called "the alternate close":

"Well, Lincoln...I can either drop it at Lenoir City by _______ or __________. Which is better for you?"

Shame we have to do the thinking for them on occasion, but ya gotta do whatcha gotta do sometimes....

I do that all the time, when I am scheduled for time off and they send me a load that takes me the opposite direction, or past the house, I ask them where they want it t-called....and I never accept until they arrange for the t-call. Sometimes they just get me a different load, but usually I get it t-called in East St. Louis. (I live in FL, but have been taking most of my time off in Central IL.)

Gotta love sitting because of shipper incompetence. Load not ready until 3.5 hours after it was supposed to be ready. Needless to say there was no making my delivery on time this morning, and because it's Sams, if you miss the appointment, you have to reschedule...well guess what that means? Of course, I told them right away that I probably wasn't going to make OTD, gave them an ETA of 1200...what was done? Nothing.

    Thanks, General Mills! :banghead:

I hope they were "outies" not "innies"...takes a lot of hogs to make a truck load of hog navels...:biggrin_2559:

    I'm glad I'm dry van..haha
When with my trainer on the Schaffer side we hauled frozen fish guts to a pet food place. Just plain nasty!

RIP Jim, a sad day for all Americans.

Usual day, some homeless dude was poking me in the arm, saying as long as Nick Sabien is coach, that we'll never something beat whoever?
I have on my Arkansas shirt, I wear it when I don't want to be asked any tough questions.
Most people see it and slowly ask me "How are you today?" I usually giggle and reply "Gurrggghhh"

    48Packard Thanks this.
