I saw about 6 more Crete trucks bobtailing east on 30 as well. I got a look at some of the numbers and they're all new to about a year old. I saw a 370XX and a 38XXX. It looks like maybe they're heading from Wilmer to Lenoir City :dontknow:

I'm camping out at the Wilco-Hess in Jackson, GA again tonight. Going to take a 10 hour break and then go deliver this Nestle reefer to Nestle Distribution in McDonough, GA in the morning. Hopefully, my next load after that one will be to go home.

I had some help from a very nice yard jockette at Mars Lancaster, TX. She steered me to the only MT we had. She even pulled it out from the dock because it was uber tight on that side of the bldg.
got another load heading to Ocheleta. Too bad we don't do that Wally World anymore or I could stay the night.

And worse still, ####### C.R. England got the ####### contract. I have friends in Tulsa, and really like the city in general, and was considering relocating there and getting on that account...but I absolutely will not drive for England.

Sitting at the Tulsa drop yard there's two Walmart trlrs hooked to Crete trucks. Last time I was up here the Wally guards were telling me how badly CR E was messing up..haha. She said Crete was still taking a large portion of the runs.

I think the only reason they get to keep a d/c account is because no one else wants them...the name Sterling(IL) comes to mind. By what I heard from the O/O's that use to run out of there, Crete's delivery performance was way above requirements...it came down to money...Crete just was underbid. But like so many other customers, on time delivery performance ends up winning the business back

Last time I went there (Ocheleta) a Crete driver still working out of there said there were about 15 of them still running loads for that DC. He said they have not given an end date, although it was back in May that CR England actually took over.

I have figured out how not to stop at every red light along US69/75 in Oklahoma. Need to stop!

I just did a "there and back" run from Dallas to Tulsa (Ocheleta) and back to Dallas. On the way up I had a message on the Qcomm that I couldn't understand the nice lady voice on the MCP200. Not a big deal and I wasn't gonna make a special stop. I figured I would catch a red light and have a quick look-see. Heck no! Didn't stop at a single red light :mlaugh: Now on the way back :mmad: So if you wanna hit all green lights you gotta need a red light.

Got my cab card and sitting at Wilmer for the night. Quick drop at Ennis tomorrow morning and hopefully home time. Maybe they will have a shag run or two for some extra moola.

    tucker Thanks this.

After dispatch tried to get me to take a load that would only allow me 2 days of home time when I have 4 due to me, I got a couple "there and back" runs. Dallas to Bentonville back through Fort Smith and then back to Dallas. It was a sweet light load coming here so 540 was easy breezy. Plus my return trip down 540 will be empty.

I seen a couple of wrecks along I40. A car that was all sideswiped against the guardrail and a Covenant that looked like it rolled over on it's side. They had righted it and had a huge haz-mat/recovery tractor/trailer rig there cleaning things up. The weather is for near freezing temps tonight. I hope those really tall bridges on 540 are clear. It's supposed to rain here tonight :biggrin_2556:
