Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

i run that stuff most the year, I had a reset last Sunday, delivered and got a nice long load,(1,162 miles) then a 130 miler a 660 miler from Kimper, KY to Minooka, which of course they shorted me 45 miles on the deadhead to Kimper, and another 350 miler out of there.
I dread the next load.

So its 0330 and I am doing my pretrip. I get to the back of the trailer and notice that both my seal and enforcer lock are missing. My heart almost stops. That's when I realize I haven't picked up a new load yet. It's time for home time.

Crete is Carrier of the Year for Walmart in 2014. Would be nice if that honor meant 24/7/365 parking at Wally stores Nationwide. I'm guessing no such perk exists.

 

Heck, that's the same recipe for government soup.

 

That would be awesome. Every truck would have a plastic pass that we could put on the window that allows us parking. This would probably make other companies perform better if this actually existed.

At the Pilot in Lincoln, IL, there is a great Mexican bar and grill on the east side behind the Wendy's, the best fried shrimp ever. All the menu items were unpronounceable, I had to point at the picture. The other Mexican restraunt ain't bad either, just real uncomfortable seating and I always end up in that chocolate store.

Slow day here, woke up, saw snow, went back to sleep, finally delivered my load, still ain't got around to sending the empty call.

 

My last 3 runs have been under 500 miles I told my asset manager that these
miles are straight trash got another call didn't answer told them on my people
net why are these miles so bad was told to just deal with it not very happy
