I-40 is one big pothole. They are patching. Watch out for the crews.

That's part of why I am running my Shaffer thread. Can see load lengths and where I'm ran. I'm Averaging approx 405 miles per day that I am away from home. If you view a week as 7 days worked that'd be 2835 so far. Not bad @ 48 cpm. Plus Short haul pay (usually $35), Extra stop pay @ $30, Detention pay @ $12 per hour 2 hrs After appt time, and Breakdown pay. Overall a decent pay package.

    freightwipper and Captbob412 Thank this.

1st 12 hrs is unpaid and then I think it's $100 per day after that. Prorated of course for partial days.

I'm on I-55 north in Louisiana and the nb side is shut down. I don't know why but many cars did utirns and drove back a mile on the shoulder to exit. Must be bad.

Took 1.5 hrs to get thru to Road Service on phone . Blown trailer tire. Could be worse. My buddy yesterday sent in breakdown message via Peoplenet and got the 1st response 5.5 hrs later. I guess we're understaffed to handle all the misery this winter season is doling out.

Yes sir. Got my cpap through the VA for $0. Fortunately, I have adjusted well to my cpap and do breath effortlessly. If I try to even nap now without it the difference is clear.

Must be a wreck, I checked the LA road reports and don't see any reported issues as of 16:30. I tried to look at MS, but their server is down...not sure why. The only nasty weather is I-90 in SD all the way over near the SD, IA, MN lines.

I sat there for an hour. It turned out to be a hay trailer that flipped behind a pickup I think.

So this leads to my question - I don't have a CB and haven't really felt the need till now. I guess they are good for emergencies and traffic updates from other drivers. I would only use it for that anyway. I'm not into listening to other drivers cuss me out for going 62 mph.

So what do you all recommend? CB or no CB?
