Got lucky at the Family Dollar DC at Rome, NY. Dispatch said you could overnight park there on the huge shoulders outside the gates and you can. I went on ahead in this afternoon and it turns out GP products are drops. So much for my 09:00 appt Tomorrow. I dropped, already picked up my next load at Fort Edward, NY headed for Ga.

After two hours waiting on the lumpers I picked up across the street in Roanoke and delivered in New Braunfels, TX. I got a weird message from OPs. Drop the MT I just picked up at Sams at Wal-Mart :biggrin_2552:. I replied...they're the same place..haha. I got a "well I thought so" then a quick preplan. Headed over to Houston and on my way to Baton Rouge. Man it's nice weather down here!

Delivered a load to Associated Wholesale last night in Baton Rouge. I finally got to leave that God forsaken place at about 05:30 this morning to return home to go register my medical info with the state. That load, by the way, was supposed to be delivered the night before, but I was prevented from making delivery on time because I-10 along with most major thoroughfares in Louisiana were closed due to frozen ice encased roads.

I worked at Crete and transfered over to their container division out of Chester,Pa. I liked doing the containers there. Small Port, easy in & out. My problem with Crete is the sleep apnea test. If you are overweight?, it is mandatory that you take the test. If you refuse (at orientation or even when you are already on the road, which was my case) they will part ways with you. The C-pap machine is $900 plus you will need to get a 400 watt Cat Inverter which they will give you a voucher for and you can pick it up at their maintenance but be aware that they may try to charge you $200 for a $40 inverter.

By the time you get out of orientation. you will owe them over $1100 for cpap machine, inverter and enforcer locks...
If you fail the sleep apnea test (and most do) you will have to use the machine everyday. Whether you're in your truck or on your hometime...

That was my biggest gripe with Crete.....oh, and don't get hurt on the job!...If you get hurt on the job and have only worked there for a few months, as i did and have to be out of work for more than 30 days, you are automatically terminated. You will have to get reinstated, take another physical, be compliant on your sleep apnea test. If you get hurt and are on workers comp. You still have to be compliant on your sleep apnea otherwise they will not let you back until you are compliant for 12 days...Then you will have to take ANOTHER Physical....
    Which is BS.....

Othewise, everything else was ok.....Like the commercial.....Don't be fat, get direct tv..........

Wow some drivers just don't like talking to other drivers. Tried to talk to another Creten and was treated like a lepper or something. Beware of female Cretens :biggrin_25511: I guess.

Haha we're at the same con's and it's been two hours and they haven't touched my trlr yet. I went over to see how long she had been here. A slammed door in myface is all I got. Another driver said she had cussed him out for trying to help guide her around his truck. He was laughing at me for trying to talk to her.

If it's who I think, she might be hungover, she's a blast when you run into her
