I've heard that too, but I hope that is just hearsay or temporary.

Doesn't matter to me. I can only stand up straight in the very back of the ProStar mid-roofs, so they're a no-go for me. I'll pass on neck/back problems later in life. Yes, I am really tall.

Will a 24 inch flat screen fit in your Freightliner?

No idea, I don't own a TV. Well, I take that back. I own a TV, but it's a tiny (9"?) color CRT in a beige square plastic case with a carry handle, and I have it for the '80s coolness factor, not because I care anything about TV.

my last visit to the Lenoir City shop, the parts guy said that 500 mid-roof Cascadias were coming. Sounds like a switch to me. After all the issues so many Prostars had there, the Freightliners couldn't be much worse. But like I said on the other thread, Crete management seems to only think there is 2 truck makers. There were rumors that they were trying KW, but I've never seen a company numbered KW on the road

Just got out of breakdown with my 2013 Prostar. Less than 20000 miles and clutch cylinder had to be replaced. Wrecked the mileage for my middle week out.

Well I just found out myself, the answer is yes a 24 inch flat screen fits into a new Cascadia because I just finished moving into one today. I hope I can get used to this opti-idle.

Opti-Idle? Is this a brand new truck? So it no longer has the bunk system with the extra batteries?

I think the new trucks have an auto-start function rather than just a low battery beeper that you might or might not hear before it cuts off unnecesary power usage

ok cool. I sure was hoping they weren't going back to an opti-idle. The auto start sounds like a good deal since I have thrown out the contents of my cooler a couple of times due to dead batteries.
