Yeah, but a parked regen in a truck is less messy than one from a horse

Well, I quit Crete in 2012 after 18 years. From what I see in the pictures it's still a smoothly operating machine.
Things got worse, or maybe without smart phones we just didn't know how much stuff got torn up in the past.

Well, the truck is upright and isn't wedged under a bridge.

Got a message that my ‘16 Freightliner was to be traded and I would be getting a ‘21.
    Late to the automatic party.

    Jarhed1964 and Casimir66 Thank this.

They started getting rid of them four years ago.

Nothing shows you how they value experienced drivers like making ALL trucks at the level of inexperienced newbies.

No need to hit the clutch when your trailer starts sliding on the Wyoming I-80 in winter. Just crash it, because it’s now impossible to match tractor speed to road speed.

No worries. They’ll just fill another truck with a newbie. They save $0.005 cents/gallon on gas with automatics so it’s all good.

Jarhed1964, Speed_Drums and Bumper Thank this.

You can still get a manual, but most are automated manual transmissions. I think getting a manual is actually an option now, rather than standard from freightliner.
