The trucks are interchangeable, since they all have both names on the doors. But the driver inside is either Crete (Dry Van) or Shaffer (Reefer). It does happen that a Crete driver will pull a reefer on occasion or Shaffer a dry van, but not usually.

Never understand why people with experience limit themselves to these bottom feeder companies? Plenty of other opportunities out there...

I don't know if i would consider Crete or Magnum a bottom feeder company. I never understand why drivers dog other drivers because of where they choose to work. All OTR companies are pretty much the same

You may be partially right on Magnum not being one but any mega company such as Crete is without a doubt a bottom feeder.

I guess. I don't hear the complaints about Crete like I do the other bottom feeders.

No, Crete and Shaffer drivers rarely haul loads that are not the type of van they were hired to haul. Crete is dry, Shaffer is reefer. Exceptions can happen, but they are rare. When it does happen, it's usually a Shaffer driver pulling a Crete dry van out of somewhere it's not needed, or a Crete driver pulling an empty Shaffer reefer, or a reefer with a dry load that doesn't need the reefer unit turned on.
