I don't mind DAC too much, what I do is audit the information in my own records therin. Back in the 90's I had a company weaponize DAC against me and caused quite a bit of economic losses. That took some time to clean up. Ultimately the entire record no longer exist after 10 years. So all that drama and problems literally no longer matter in my life. It did not happen.
What I have heard now and then... This is where you might consider either a rumor, smoke signals or a confirmed situation coming at you fast. is that... there are databases being built so that every soul who has ever touched a CDL in a given lifetime would be availible along with the employment, accidents etc for any employer to review.
IF it is true or not? That remains to be seen. What I think and make a theory is this. Following the China's Social Credit model where those who are deadbeats do not get permission to fly anywhere or board express trains etc. At some point your work in trucking in the future will matter. If you are a good worker, there is no problem. If you are a bad worker well... you wont be part of the industry for long. And it's a shame because it is one of the last things one can do in life with a minimum of training and certainly without a college degree.

If you had to see Safety due to critical events you were in the top 200 of 7,500 plus drivers. Prime will require a Safety Class, and send you back out. If you get more of them within 30 days, you get a dashcam, and a letter stating they will review the video, and if your driving is the reason they are triggered when they review the video, you are routed back to a terminal and if company, terminated, and if lease, they terminate your lease.
If you decline the Safety Class, they will note on your DAC that you are not eligible for rehire, and you departed for safety reasons. I know someone who was recently in the same boat, it is on his DAC, and he has been looking for 2 months. Problem is, he won't take a job unless it pays him $30 an hour, and full benefits. -
It has been my experience that when a carrier gets that DAC summery and see rehire status as rehire or rehire after review and the reason for leaving was quit they most times stop looking. The problems come when these kinds of things become the narrative of why you were let go. Outside of that, most carriers won't care. HR runs the application through safety and insurance and if they are happy your good to go. Otherwise, your app gets filed in the round file.
The thing is as I was trying to say is if you work for say a Prime and get fired for these events this is part of THEIR records as well as what they transmit to DAC. Even if you get hired by a carrier that doesn't use DAC that carrier is still required by 391.23 (c) to do a check with prime and will get the same information as they have in DAC. -

This fascinates me. Would you be so kind as to tell me what terminal you were directed to? -
