I'm not sure why people go to the bottom of the barrel companies when there are numerous threads here that tell everyone how bad they are. This is what this site is for information to share with other people good bad and indifferent.

Because some people don't do their research. They either find a job by looking in one of those little truck stop books or by filling out one of those "Apply for 100's of trucking jobs by filling out one application" gimmicks.

I think it's more to do with the long standing toxic nature of this industry, that requires detective level research on a carrier before committing to it. Rookies coming from regular jobs are unaware of the amount of research needed, so they take a company at face value or trust the recruiter. I mean seriously, trucking is the only industry where I spent 5 months researching before I made a solid commitment to a company.

Threads abound here on CRST, mostly bad.

ONE complaint can be taken with a grain of salt. But when the bad stories outnumber the good ones by roughly 10 to 1, there's likely something to it.

Furthermore, what does it say about a company with such high turnover that drivers with only 2 years seniority are used as trainers?

    I call that scary.

There's a member that went to school at CRST awhile back,he knew how bad they are but at the time didn't have awhole lot of options to work with so he chose them.I can't find that thread,I wonder how he's doing and if he's still there.

I was one of those unknowing rookies when I came into this industry. Once I realized just got bad CRST was I spent over 6 months vetting the company I am at now. I think if I ever decided to leave where I'm at now I would have to spend 6 months vetting another company before I could leave. You really have to do the research from reading these threads, to talking to as many drivers from the companies you are looking at, to even asking the technicians at the repair shops. All of that takes time.

Those statements say it all. While I was in school a fellow student announced to us that he was taking a job with another company that has dozens of negative threads about how bad they are. I along with a number of other students and instructors tried to get him to reconsider. I even directed him to this site to read the threads for himself, but he didn't believe what he had read. Less than one month after he started he was whining about how bad it was..

I saw a CRST truck today with his trailer seal on his left door.. That right there says enough about how idiotic the drivers for this company are.

Yeah that is funny, But in reality, Not many customers look at the Seals or heck even record the dang numbers. So it's kinda of who cares what side of the door seals are on :biggrin_2559:. Good idea fairies
