I don't think there have been a lot of people looking at them anyway, but I could be wrong
-
I know for a facto customers do. I hear them talking about it a lot.
-
I just looked up my company and it's still there. Public cannot see crash or hazmat basics but all the other basics are still there. you can do a search at: https://ai.fmcsa.dot.gov/SMS/Search/Index.aspx

The bill just passed, all scores will be removed within 30 days. Haz and crash have always been hidden -
BAD! why remove them from pubic view?
When I was job hunting those scores factored into my decision making. -
GOOD and the news appears to get better, DOT has been instucted to rework the entire CSA program yay. I was hoping Congress would pull the teeth out of CSA and they have.
Happy to see the weight limits increase failed as I didn't think the rates would go up to support 11,000 more pounds for me to pull up a hill at 22 miles an hour.
Lower the driving age to 18, don't care about that, intense training regs are in the works so not worried about an 18 year old running a big truck if they can sign up to fight a war and vote they can get a job why not.HorseShoe Thanks this. -
It has passed the house but still needs senate approval before it becomes law. So dont get you're hopes up.

Yep, nothing is set in stone yet.
I liked that they didn't increase insurance also. We can all keep our jobs.
An interesting note was made on that subject though. The increase would put many o/o's out of business, And they only make up a small percentage of all crashes. While the megas, who WOULDN'T be effected by the increase. And run ELD's, make up the majority of all crashes.
I don't want 18 year olds driving a rig. Teens have the highest crash risk factor. It's all about safety, Yet congress does everything AGAINST safety. Allowing 18 year olds would be another BIG risk.
Let em learn to drive a car for a few years first. Before handling LONG and HEAVY.
Just look at TTR. There's all kindsa newbies having accidents, and they range in ALL ages. We want to contribute to that by allowing younger.
Killing the enemy is one thing, Killing innocent Americans. (possibly YOU or your family). There needs to be a line.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
Some of those 18 year old kids have been driving on the farm since they could reach the pedals. Saw a kid once who couldn't see over the dash AND push the clutch to the floor at the same time driving a pickup pulling a gooseneck around in the field while the older kids picked up the hay bales. In other words, just like with anything else, it really depends upon the individual. Hell, I know people in their 30's and 40's who have no business riding a bicycle let alone operating a car or truck...but you know what? They're out here!
‘Olhand Thanks this.
