Good little motor easy to work on parts are cheap it’s 20 years old so you will be working on it especially with 600,000 miles
Personally I like them they’re great especially in a city tractor trying to stay light not a big motor if you’re pulling heavy you’ll be disappointedBoxCarKidd Thanks this. -
One of the best pulling engines I've driven! Gotta disagree with IdahoJoel, mine pulled realativy well. Mine was in a WIA/Volvo 96 model IIRC. I ran around 67,000-72,000 gross across PA all the time and didn't complain. I wasn't the big dog passing large cars on the pulls, but then again I wasn't in the right lane with my flashers on either. Mine had a 10 speed and it was a big jump 9-10 but if I kept it in the torque range it just pulled like a train! Quality fuel and regular service is all it asks and you'll probably be satisfied. Had 600,000-700,000 miles when I bought it. Good luck

My ten wheeler has one. It is geared a little high taking off under load. Pulled 52,000 around today with no problem. They are good engines just not big dawgs. Saluda Mountain Grade might set you back a bit but the mileage will make you smile.

Decent little engine. Suck to work on. Water pump takes all day. Even for our shop....
